How to Maximize Space In Your New Home

8/30/2017

In every home, there’s always seems to be a need for more space. Regardless if you live in a small apartment complex, or a large estate, we always want to maximize space to make it feel more inviting. So, if you’ve been wanting to fit more into your bathroom cabinets, or you’ve been looking to add a desk to your already-cramped bedroom, we’ve got some tips to help.

Opening up your Entryway

Often times the first area that welcomes guests is your entryway. We suggest placing a bench or a sitting area of sorts to collect shoes or backpacks. However if you don’t have room for a bench, consider adding a set of decorative hanging hooks with a large mirror to help to open up your space.

Make your Kitchen Easy to Cook In

The kitchen is often the busiest room of your entire home. Not only does it need to be functional, but it also has to be enjoyable to cook meals in. To maximize space in this room, try adding some vertical storage shelving to your cabinets or pantry. You can even use drawer organizers for dry goods and food storage containers.

Bathroom Essentials

We’ve noticed that it’s bathrooms that are often lacking storage. To help maximize space, especially in bathrooms that are shared, consider adding open shelving or baskets under the sink and behind the door. These can house smaller items and appliances such as beauty supplies when they’re not being used.

We hope you found these tips useful! If you’re looking for new design or remodeling ideas for your home, don’t hesitate to contact Lake Hallie Cabinets for a free design consultation. As always, we hope we were able to give you some insight!
