The 2017 Parade of Homes Information & Spring Cleaning Tips

Mark your calendars! The 2017 Parade of Homes will be here before you know it, running from June 10th - 17th. Advance purchase tickets will be available for $8 beginning in May and $10 once the parade begins. Custom home tours will be running all week long, so there’s plenty of time to visit! The tour times are as follows: Monday-Friday, from 5-9pm as well as weekends from 10am-5pm. We know this year’s show is going to be wonderful and hope you’re excited!
Now that the weather is warming up, it’s time to start spring cleaning! We’ve got three tips for you that’ll leave your spaces sparkling. Read on for tips that will give spring the welcome it deserves:
- Cleaning your Refrigerator
Looking for a way to clean out your fridge that will leave it looking like brand new? Using a combination of soda and salt water is sure to do the trick. The bubbliness of the soda when combined with the grittiness of the salt makes it the perfect deep cleaner!
- Removing Lime Buildup around your Faucet
Nasty lime buildup? No problem. Simply place paper toweling around the faucet and soak it with vinegar. Let the paper towels sit for about an hour and just like that the buildup will have softened making it easy to remove!
- Cleaning your Window Screens
Fresh spring air means you’re wanting to open your windows, right? Well who wants to open their windows when they’re covered with dust? Not us! The best way to clean your window screens is to use a scrap of carpeting. The coarseness of the carpet makes the perfect brush to remove all the dirt!
